About the Author
Gemaine Owen is a board-certified family physician, poet, writer and motivational speaker. She has degrees from Johns Hopkins University and the former Medical College of Pennsylvania. She has a private practice that includes consultations for cancer patients, office visits, and home visits for geriatric or disabled patients. Born American but reared West Indian, she has had a measure of exposure to natural remedies and through her training, she has witnessed the life-adding miracles of modern medicine. Coming full circle to her place of birth, she lives in St Croix with family connections in both Antigua and Anguilla.
